Monday is here again! Good morning to you! I hope you had a lovely weekend! Are you ready for the week ahead? Have you had your morning coffee yet? Take a few minutes to be present before you begin the hubbub of the start of the week!
I used to hop out of bed, grab my coffee and rush headlong into the day, but I have joyfully changed my routine and it’s been a lifesaver. I’ve told you about it before here, so I won’t repeat it. I think the start of the day and the end of the day are very important. For me, they’re like bookends to the volumes of moments (pages) each day brings.
So having a routine helps in many ways and while I can’t perhaps control what the day will bring, I know that I can start with a smile and end (hopefully) with one as well. I like to be able to put my head peacefully on my pillow at night and fall asleep without difficulty. For the most part, I can do that and I consider myself lucky since many friends have insomnia or get up often in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
I think what’s helped me most at night is the routine as well as the DREAM or CBD Tincture that I take right before bed. I don’t get up in the middle of the night for anything. I simply sleep right through until morning. With DREAM I have a 30ish minute window before my eyes close which I use to read or pray or do a little body cleansing via Reiki to myself. That way, I’m calm for when the sleep overtakes me.
