“Your level of success, will rarely exceed your level of personal development, because success is something you attract by the person you become.”Jim Rohn
As humans, we continue to learn through our experiences. We can choose to stay stagnant, but change happens whether we like it and choose it, or not. That’s just a part of life that is consistent. But what I’ve found is that in order to survive those changes that have been quite startling at times, is to continue my path of learning, of growing, of delving into myself and those around me.
I love to meet and to connect with people! I have always been drawn to people, to hear their stories and to understand what makes them who they are. People are fascinating to me for each of us has a story to tell. What has changed me over the years is that I’ve found that there’s an innate knowing that comes unbidden at times about people and when I dare to mention it, virtually all have been affected positively by my insight.
So part of my personal development has been honing in on the skills that innately are in my toolbox. Reading, listening and practicing the art of understanding people and being open to receiving messages that may help them along their life’s journey.
But personal development doesn’t need to have a ‘woo woo’ (my word for spiritual) aspect to it. Depending on your interests, personal development can mean learning a new skill, reading more on a particular subject or researching something that interests you. With podcasts, YouTube and social media, there’s a plethora of information out there to increase your knowledge base!
When we keep growing and developing personally, we expand in so many positive ways! We reach more people. We share at a deeper level. We bond with others. We increase our productivity. We center ourselves with affirmative positivity! We increase our success! How awesome is that!
So what’s the requirement for personal development?
Carving out a little bit of time for yourself – to indulge yourself with new ideas, inner growth and wisdom.
Why would you want to increase your personal development?
To help yourself, to help others and to deepen your connections with life. In one word, to increase your success whether it’s personal, financial, physical and/or spiritual!
How do you begin?
By choosing what you’d like to learn more about and committing to a few minutes a day to doing just that!
If you have a certain subject you’d like to learn more about, let me know and I can guide you. The sky’s the limit here on Earth! Don’t ever stop learning and growing your wisdom. Stay curious! Be open!
Enjoy the process because as you do, life will become richer and more satisfying!
