I love to connect with people and hear all about their stories – their struggles and triumphs and all that’s in-between. I am not afraid to sit with you while you cry or to hug you when you need a friend. Frankly, I feel that tears are cleansing and they are a part of letting go in order to make room in your life for joy. I know some people aren’t fond of tears and that’s fine too. There’s no right or wrong way to process emotions when we share our stories. We can be stoic or a blubbering mess. Either way, it’s the sharing that’s important.

I am not a classically trained editor. I have evolved into an intuitive writing coach. My job is to see the bigger picture in your work. To read from a knowing place and to connect the dots as your readers will when your book is in their hands. To help you to develop your story so that it makes sense and your message can be delivered.
Sharing your struggles with the world can feel like an intense squeeze through the birth canal until you’ve arrived at the point that you want to submit your work, so I’m here to be your helper. To applaud when you’ve made progress, to enlighten when you feel you’ve gone off track, to enrich when you may need to dig deeper, and to be your biggest fan all while aiding you to engage your readers with your inspirational writing. It’s a big task, but one that I truly enjoy! I wish you could see the huge smile spreading across my face right now as I type what I do…
Because it’s not a cut and dry process when we work together – especially depending on the subject matter that you’re sharing. It can be messy and wonderful all at the same time. Like finger painting I think…the artwork (your manuscript) will stand out in the end, but getting the paints all over and having to clean up before presenting, well, that’s where we are! Wouldn’t it be helpful to have a friend to help with the behind the scenes before your big reveal?
I have read many works thus far and helped to edit them. I’ve enjoyed pre-reading historical romance novels, HVAC manuals (technical ones!), an anthology of graduate studies scenarios for guidance counselors, channeled messages from the other side, experiences with nature, poetry and books about people’s lives, just to name a few. It’s been a varied source of joy for me as I love the connections we make throughout the process!
Each of us in our own way shines our special light into this world. Like the many varied stars in the sky, each of us is inspirational and I am in awe of all of the amazing heartlights I’ve met over the years.
