…Find out where joy resides and give it a voice far beyond singing. For to miss the joy is to miss all.
Robert Louis Stevenson
Where does your joy reside? Have you ever thought about what brings you joy in your life? Is it your family? Pets? Friendship? Do you enjoy reading? Being out in nature? Running or exercise? Meditating? What do you truly enjoy?
Get quiet for a moment and ask yourself that important question – What brings me joy?
Then write down what comes to you. For in knowing where your joy resides is important when life gets difficult. We need to be able to lift our spirits joyfully when life throws us a curveball. Like a special treasure, we can dip into our joy and feel it from the tips of our toes to the top of our heads and allow that higher vibration to radiate throughout our being and beyond!
I know that for me, I have gathered many different joys in my life for which I feel blessed. People, pets, activities and even a good rest are just a few from my Joy List. I find that smiling even brings me joy. Do you?
In these difficult times, joy is important to cultivate, to share and to grow with the enjoyment in even the simple parts of our day. Communicating and connecting with loved ones is a great start for those who aren’t sure what brings them joy.
Have you ever thought of making a Joy List? What’s on yours? Feel free to share!
Happy September!
