BLUE SKIES

It was a beautiful,

bright autumn day,

with air like cider

and a sky so blue

you could drown in it.

~ Diana Gabaldon

What a great description, don’t you think? There’s something magical in the air these days. Perhaps it’s the New Moon energy? Or the crisp chill that energizes me every Autumn. I get these surges of energy lately that buzz through with enthusiasm.

I spent the weekend weeding out and decluttering. We had a room that had slowly but surely become a junk room of sorts, where what didn’t have a home, found itself amongst the ragtag of stuff I fondly referred to as the ‘misfits’ because we couldn’t decide whether to keep or throw them away. Ten boxes and one long afternoon later, we found a home for all of it. Some was donated, some was re-containered (if that’s even a word?) and some was sent to the great beyond garbage. With help from a friend who loves to organize, we got it done.

This morning I awoke to a brand new day with such a feeling of enthusiasm! As I dropped off the boxes to recycling and drove over to the donation place with a carload of goodies for someone new, I felt a spring in my step. These are those precious enthusiastic moments that Fall’s energy brings!

With that being said, I was reminded of Michael BublĂ©’s song Feeling Good and thought I’d end with this because it’s how I feel…catch Monday’s vibe! It’s all FALLing into place!
