This morning my phone began pinging with texts and I felt a warm sense of gratitude wash over me. It was friends and family wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving and thus began my morning. Instead of the usual hustle and bustle of a busy holiday, I sat quietly reading each text and sending gratitude to them individually in prayer form, quietly wishing each one peace within their hearts and a smooth day ahead with family celebrations.
I don’t say this to brag to you that I got texts. Instead, I remind myself how important connections are in this life. Perhaps it’s true we enter and exit alone, but along the way, we connect with treasured friends and family who help us as we navigate life’s challenges. Each person is here to help us along the way.
Some are here to support us, to love us and to remind us of our inner strengths, our capacity to love and to show us the way when we are lost. Unconditional love and guidance for our higher good flows through them to help us navigate the difficult times. They hold our hands and keep us afloat when the waters rise and swirl with emotions.
Others can negatively affect us, but they are the lesson we need to learn that comes with the experience. How we view it is important. A change in mindset, the embracing of a Joyful Change is key to healing. These are growth moments whether it be to learn how to forgive, to learn how to see ourselves or to learn how to gracefully find our own paths.
Each type comes and goes along the way. Some are here for a reason or a season, while others are lifetime loves who glide along with us. Either way, it’s the soul connections that we make during this lifetime that make such a huge difference in our lives.
So today I’m celebrating all of the connections I’ve made along the way. Those who taught me and those who continue to teach me by example. May all of the blessings be counted today for gratitude abundantly increases our blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of those who celebrate today!
