Why Fit In When You Were Born To Stand Out?

“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” is a quote by Dr. Seuss. Have you heard of it before now? I like this quote as it reminds me to embrace my unique self and to enjoy the uniqueness in others.

Because let’s face it, we are all unique. We are all different. What makes this big ole world fun to be in is getting to know others who aren’t like us! Learning from them and making friends is such an amazing experience! I love connecting with people! How boring would it be if we were all the same?

Fitting in or not fitting in is a timeless quandary for most people. While we want to be accepted and not be outsiders, at times the fitting in can feel too difficult for us. It means sometimes sacrificing our beliefs, our views, ourselves in order to go along with the crowd because that’s what we think we’re supposed to do. Who we’re supposed to want to be and how we’re supposed to act. And how wrong is that!?!

There are many movies about that very subject. High school, middle school and mean kids can make or break the uniqueness in some of the world’s most interesting and evolutionary people. Heck, it even happens to adults! So…what can we do about it?

Let’s cultivate your special gifts. Let’s shine a beautiful disco ball of light on that which makes you unique! Let’s share your amazingness with the world! You can find peace and happiness and comfort in all of the worlds at once by making connections!

Don’t let some arbitrary mean people stop you! Come on…Let me help you to make a Joyful Change in your life!

Let’s celebrate YOU in all your fantastic and unique being of self!
