When I was looking for a symbol for this part, I stumbled across this precious butterfly…if you look closely, you will notice that it is drawn with one continuous line which is why I picked it. Because our lives are one continuous line of evolution…just like the caterpillar evolves into the butterfly! It’s cliché and yet clever, don’t you think?
Because our spiritual, personal growth isn’t always a straight line, but it definitely is continuous because we’re still here. Starts and stops along the way as we process each leg of the journey is expected. We can characterize each level as the decade that it is or the before and after X (whatever event was so worthy of noting).
Each change can be met joyfully after processing. I remember telling people that I was grateful for the hard times and they thought I was crazy. I am grateful for the cancer that I fought, the divorce that I endured, the surgeries and open heart surgery that I survived, and the mourning losses that I suffered, to get to this place right now in my life. Because with each experience, I grew and I changed and I evolved. Knowing me, perhaps I chose these trials in order to make this human journey meatier in a way, with more substance, with more learning, packed into a short amount of time. I don’t doubt that I asked to meet and to connect with many people in different ways, from different backgrounds, in different walks of life because I love connecting with you!
So this butterfly symbol fits with my own symbolism. Does it fit with yours? Are you ready to share your story and inspire the world? I’m listening…
