My Hand Is Yours To Hold

She saw the pain and instead of trying to fix it, she held out her hand and said, “I’m here every step of the way. My hand is yours to hold. My shoulder is yours to cry on. My heart is big enough for us both and my angels are ready to fight your demons. I’m here…”

L. Browning Poetry

I saw this quote on FB and it just touched me to my core because this is how I feel with my family, friends and people with whom I connect. Lately it seems many people I know are having a hard time. There are a few who have sick relatives (husband, child, sibling) and they are major illnesses – like life changing in not a good way.

So I’ve been praying for them a lot. But I’ve also been on the phone with them, sometimes just listening as they process their emotions or cry a bit because of their situations. It’s not easy being a vessel for someone else, but it is gratifying because I know it is helping them.

So today, especially on Easter Sunday, I am holding out my hands to you and sending you peace and love. Reach out when you need help. I am here for you.

  1. Your words touch me every time I read them, but I don’t always have the courage to say so. But today is different because I feel a bit down and your words are even nicer to read. Thank you, Yvonne! 🙂

      1. There are good days and bad days too. I am so grateful that I can read beautiful words from beautiful people when I am down and that I can write my own experiences in the good days. I hope you have a great week ahead! 🙂
