Yesterday I wrote about tears, but especially because today is Monday, I wanted to continue to help you in your healing journey by reminding you of the quote above by Rhonda Byrnes which I really like! Because we can change how we’re feeling when we remember something positive or sing a song that lifts our spirit.
Perhaps today you can write about those touchstones of joy that you have in your life that you can call upon to lift you up. Make a list of what songs put a smile on your face when you hear them or sing them. Remember those happy experiences and find those photos if you have them that put you back into that moment of joy. Search for those to list so you can look back in your journal when you need a pick me up!
We all need a list of joy as a touchstone to use when needed. Not to mask if we are feeling sad, but to remind us that life is filled with Joyful Change and moments of bliss. I find that gratitude for the list that I have made has increased the list exponentially. As a woman who sees the world as a glass 1/2 full, I find that when I go looking for positivity, I can find it even when perhaps it’s hiding a bit. Gratitude has a lot to do with that I’m sure. When I need to change my thinking, I look to my list of Joy to inspire me. I turn on my music and sing, dance and lift my spirits. What are your go-to songs when you are happy?
