September 16

If you don’t like something, change it.

If you can’t change it, change your attitude.

Maya Angelou

When you read about Maya Angelou, you’ll learn that she lived through many different experiences. I find her similar to many people I have known over the years who overcame life experiences that were difficult, heartbreaking and who were able to rise beyond the human circumstances. In her case, it was through her writing.

Will it be through your writings that you find peace in your life? Will journaling aid you in your quest for a Joyful Change? Will you find your enthusiasm for writing becomes a daily routine that fills you with creativity and allows you to break down those limiting beliefs and to understand why the caged bird sings? Will your pages be filled with poetry? Song lyrics? Little stories? Rhyming phrases? Or will they blossom into the story of you, of how you began and how your inner knowing evolved? Will you doodle in the margins or draw? Will you find a hidden talent in understanding the humanness of this life? One never knows what we will find when we begin and how our writing evolves over time, sharing pieces of ourselves with each entry. I wish this for you. Allow your fingers to flow over the keyboard or with a pen across the page. It is here where we find ourselves. The whole of ourselves as we dig deeply into our thoughts, our feelings, our beliefs and unfold a plethora of loving wisdom from beneath the surface.

Change happens in life. We can welcome it or turn away. I hope you’re enjoying your September journaling quotes!

Happy September!
