It’s Sunday so I thought it was a good day to talk about prayer. Even if you’re not religious, you understand the quote above. To me, it makes complete sense. In fact, it was as if a lightbulb went off in my head that hadn’t ignited before now.
What you pay attention to increases; therefore if you’re worrying about X coming to fruition (you fill out what the X is), then you’re increasing your attention on the negative that is X, thereby giving it more power. More power equals more Law of Attraction which is clearly NOT what you’re wanting to happen in that way.
And yet, here we are because we can’t help ourselves. We tell ourselves that we’re planners, so if X happens, then we need a plan to deal with it. We are just planning on what to do if X befalls us. We map out the imaginable consequences of X occurring and fill in the blanks of how we’ll respond when/if each scenario happens. If you’re like me, that would ease my mind and let me rest afterwards because I would feel like I’ve covered all my bases. I’d be able to finally fall asleep because I’d exhausted myself and the options that I had when/if X occurred.
BUT…it does quite the opposite in reality.
That’s where the magic lies. That’s where a JOYFUL CHANGE occurs because we change the way we are looking at X altogether. We end the worry and begin again.
How do we do this?
When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.
It’s all about perspective, trust, motion and letting go. You can do it. You just need a hand to hold in order to change the narrative in your head.
Worry doesn’t get you anywhere. It’s like a rocking chair on the porch. You can rock all day, but you aren’t going anywhere. You’re stuck in a singular loop with no escape until you get up off the chair and leave the worry behind you.
If you’re ready to work with me, here I am. Hand open and extended. Reach out. Let’s make a Joyful Change in your life!
