My sons surprised me with homemade cards this morning for Mother’s Day. It was the perfect way to start my day because I love being a Mom to them. In the past, they usually went to the store to pick out a card, but right now, it isn’t prudent because of the virus. The truth is that I loved their creative cards and the heartfelt messages that they wrote way more than anything a store-bought card could have said because it was directly from them and written to me. Do you feel the same way? Or would you rather receive a card that has some beautiful prose and their names signed on the bottom? I agree that sometimes it’s easier to find a card that says how you feel rather than taking the effort to write out how you feel because emotions can get in the way of our words.
Either way, I hope your Mother’s Day was great! If you’re a Mom, then I hope your family made your day extra special! If your Mom is still here, I hope that you sent her some extra love and appreciation today! Motherhood as we know isn’t an easy job all the time so give the credit where it’s due and celebrate that we’re all trying to do our best with what we’ve got!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Moms of the World! We appreciate you!
