This is another of my favorite quotes from Maya Angelou. You may have already seen this quote before, but I think it bears repeating. Don’t you?

These days we especially need to lead with kindness. When talking with someone, make sure you’re listening to them and not being distracted. Be present with them as it’s a huge present to both you and your friend. Listening and feeling heard are especially important as connections are key. There are people in my life who have helped me immensely. I wouldn’t be able to repeat all that they’ve said or list all that they’ve done for me, but the one thing that I can, without a doubt, is tell you how they’ve made me feel – whether good or bad. Can you pick out some people in your life who make you feel good and make you feel bad? Can you write about why you feel that way? Do you go about your day working hard to help others feel good too? One kind gesture often is passed along from person to person as we are all connected. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all help ourselves and others to feel good?
