I awoke this morning with joy in my heart, to a world sugar-kissed with a snow-scaped yard that just brought me such delight! I adore snow (and even shoveling) as there’s nothing like it! It’s as if the whole world is blanketed in puffy white cotton and with the beautiful blue skies above, the sun shining off the snow, well, it’s a marvelous view to behold!
Of course, there’s so much more that brings me joy – including my family, friends and loved ones along with our kitty Tigger and our newest addition, Buster, our Golden Retriever puppy. Those precious loving connections make each day special for me and I treasure each one of them!
I love writing (as you can imagine). Connecting with people is another favorite as well as helping them. It brings me great joy when someone shifts their mindset to a Joyful Change and that ‘a-ha’ moment arrives! I love to see happy people, don’t you?
Joy: a feeling of great pleasure and happiness; is the definition. Let’s write a list of what brings us joy for I’m sure there are many for you! Then let’s sit quietly and think of what we would like to joyfully change in our lives. Listen to your inner knowing and just free write. You may be surprised by what comes up! Lastly, let’s see how we can make those happen!
You can find joy in all types of situations. It’s only a matter of looking for it and taking the opportunity to be present in the moment in order to feel the joy throughout your inner being. Life can be rushed at times, but it’s important to slow down, catch that moment of joy, even when it appears fleeting. Like this morning when I took that photo above – it only took a few minutes for me to look up to marvel at nature’s beauty, but I took the time and captured that moment.
Over the years I have begun to take photos more often, capturing what brings me joy. Playful times with my sons, special meetings with friends, beautiful moments in nature. I don’t share them often, but they are special to me, like little treasures.
2022 is before us, a year filled with blank pages on which to write. Why not write your own joyful story? You deserve it! We all do!
