I told you that I like easy ways to make a Joyful Change! This one is a favorite of mine and it packs a powerful punch. It doesn’t take but a few minutes of your time and you can do it quickly, easily, and without preparation.
Say – THANK YOU – two little words that make a huge difference!
I don’t mean to just say Thank You to those who help you along the way. But to list in gratitude all of the good that happens to you throughout the day. Whether you write the list down (which is more powerful) or simply think of it in your head or speak it aloud, do it. List what you’re grateful for throughout the day and before you go to bed, remember your day with a grateful heart.
There’s so much to be thankful for, so if you struggle with what to say, begin simply. Would you like some examples? Here are a few that come to mind.
I’m thankful that:
- I woke up this morning.
- there’s food in the refrigerator.
- the sun is shining today.
- I am healthy.
- today is payday.
- it’s a good hair day.
- I’m in love.
- I feel happy.
- I had a good sleep.
- it’s the weekend.
Do you see how it can just be so simple? Once you’re in the groove of gratitude, then you can move onward to gratitude that’s more complex:
- I’m so grateful I listened to my intuition.
- Thank goodness the lady in the blue t-shirt who took my parking space, so I’d have to walk further to the store and because of that, I found my lucky penny on on the cement.
