As this virus time continues and we’ve been restricted for quite a while, I’m finding that some people’s fears of the invisible threat to our health has become a fear that is growing. Myself included, at times, I feel like this virus keeps us imprisoned in mind, body and spirit. Being physically isolated is difficult for some people, while others are learning to be with their whole family 24/7 which can be hard to manage when you’re used to a lot of activity and places to go.
We can concentrate on the threatening contagion of the virus or we can look beyond it to what is also happening which is invisible to the naked eye. There’s a change coming and it has been for a long time. Do you feel it? Have you been aware of it?
Throughout these past months, life has slowed down to an almost, if not, screeching halt. We are home-based and quarantined with whomever we live with all the time. No more after school activities for the kids, no more sports, no more college dorms, no more going to work at the office, no more part-time jobs unless they’re essential, no more browsing in shops and even getting basics such as food and paper products has been difficult. We wear masks and gloves we leave our home turf. We are supposed to stay 6 feet apart to keep that invisible threat at bay. We wash our hands to contain the spread of the invisible virus even though we don’t know if we have come into contact with it. So much uncertainty!
Yet, there’s a healing going on for each of us when we allow ourselves to go inward to work on ourselves. This has been a special time for many of us to work on ourselves, our relationships and to embrace this Joyful Change. We have a choice in which we can turn to communication and bonding or we can waywardly move into isolation. I have found that many are turning to me to release painful memories and allow for healing. The present moment is ripe with the invisible cords to be cut to what holds us back from our heartfelt, loving selves. What better time than now to begin the journey back to what we feel is important in our lives!
Love, connection, communication, peace, joy and healing all are invisible to the naked eye and yet they are so important in our human experience. The time for releasing negativity and embracing the positivity is here. Surrounding ourselves in the beauty of nature, of kindness and of just being in the moment is essential.
Take a moment to walk outside and feel the air, the wind and notice the invisible beauty which we may have forgotten. What is invisible to the naked eye can be powerful in good ways and in bad. That’s the incredible dichotomy of this time. Yes, there is the invisible threat of catching the virus, but there is also the invisible gift that comes with the home time that allows us to heal, to explore and to rest when we can.
I’m reaching my hand out to you in peace, love and friendship. Grab hold. Let’s walk this journey together. Come and sit by me. Tell me what’s going on in your life right now. Are there parts that you feel uncertain about? Then, let’s see how they fit into this moment in time.
