I’m not one to make resolutions. I don’t keep them so I gave that up. I’m more of a work in progress kind of girl anyway. I have a change in mindset for 2023 and will work on that, improving as I go through the months to get to where I want to be and beyond! I think that works better for me, goals that work with me – the me who needs a little wiggle room here and there. It probably stems from a very strict upbringing which I disliked immensely and found stifling. But now since I am the matriarch of me with nobody above me, nobody to tell me what to do, I steer my own ship and as the Matriarch, well, it’s up to me. Nobody to blame if the ship sinks and only me (and my dearest friends and supporters) to celebrate with when it rises with amazing success! You know I’m betting on the success, right?
Because it’s out with the old thinking. We can’t go back anymore. There’s nothing left but ashes and regrets. New year, new world, new thoughts, new opportunities, new everything. It’s feels a bit daunting, but exciting. Don’t you think? It’s like we’ve been set free to sink or swim. Believe me, I’m swimming, even if it’s only a dog paddle, until I get my sea legs. Do you care to join me?
Because I think it’s time we Begin Again. It’s taken me long enough to get here, but I can tell you that I’m here. Feet planted, centered and ready to help you too. Enough of this paddling only to stay afloat. I’ve made it to shore and am sending out a helping hand to you. Let’s get you started. Get you on the road. Enough of this doggy paddle. It kept us afloat, but that’s not where we’re meant to be! We’re meant to shine!
